Linda Hobbs

Linda began playing the tuba when she started secondary school under the watchful eye of her music teacher Derek Wears and the school's peripatetic teacher John Berryman.

As a teenager she played for the Northamptonshire County Youth Brass Band and also Bilton Silver, Rugby and Daventry Brass Band.

Linda then studied at the Royal College of Music, London with John Jenkins, whilst also playing for the Hanwell Band in west London.

Upon moving back to the Midlands and qualifying as a primary school teacher, Linda played for the Jaguar Cars (City of Coventry) Band, Nassington Brass, Rigid Containers Group Band and William Davis.

After eleven years at Kibworth Band Linda is extremely happy to be a member of the Virtuosi GUS Band under the direction of John Berryman.
